MOST important of all. please make sure the rear anchor is set right. and the rear foot is tight to the fitting. this is where i see most of the problems. really all of the problems.

Wonderful 411 thank you. Question I level the carrier on the horizontal and vertical of the waste inlet. I find that other carriers have a seam on the bottom of the carrier from the mold. I have to grind that flat to prevent movement. Your thoughts.

a little trick of the trade here, drill the hole all the way thru the concrete, SOG or SOD. that way if you mess up the wedge anchor you can pound it down and set a new one.

IF you have 2" of concrete on a Q-deck. i highly recommend that you bolt all the way thru the floor and nut and washer top and bottom. that would be the best possible condition.

IF its a wood building, then you must always nut and bolt thru the floor. and use a big metal plate on the underside of the wood.

NEVER use lead anchors, or tapcons, or wood screws, or sammys, or nail ins, or nails. yes, i listed them because i have seen all of them used. its very sad.

lets talk anchors. NEVER use drop ins. they are not strong enough. the tighter you set the bolt the more a drop in will pull out.

IF you are anchoring into 4"+ concrete, ALWAYS use a 4.5' or 5" wedge anchor. like HILTI, or Powers or 3M... the wedge anchor is your best friend. IF he is 1/2" diameter bolt. not 3/8" ,that is used on lav and urinal carriers.

the first thing to consider is the fixture. ADA or standard height. ADA is 7" aff standard is 5" aff. (bottom all thread)

I like setting all carriers at handicap height. I never thought about the drop in anchors. I will call out wedge anchors on the next in wall fab I make.
