Thermostatic mixing valves blend hot water with cold water to ensure constant, safe shower and bath outlet temperatures. Valves shut off rapidly in the event of a hot or cold supply failure. This acts as an anti scalding mechanism and prevents thermal shock. The valves increase the safe, usable hot water supply and control water temperature.
