It is a legal requirement to have all TMVs tested annually. We are fully accredited to test and service TMVs. TMVs mix the hot and cold water together before it comes out of the tap so it is delivered to the user at a warm temperature that is not dangerous. We have tested hundreds of valves over the years on commercial and domestic sites.

We can also test and inspect your Tempering Valve at home. All domestic ablution points at your home, i.e. basins, showers and baths must have water delivered to the tap at 50 degrees to prevent scalding. It is a legal requirement to replace your tempering valve every five years. If your hot water unit at home is a storage type then it has to be stored at 70 degrees but delivered to the tap via a tempering valve at 50 degrees. It takes one second to receive a major burn from hot water that is 68 degrees.
