The main valve of the Cla-Val Model 750-01 opens when inlet pressure exceeds a preset pressure and allows enough flow to maintain that inlet pressure. In pressure sustaining service, this valve conserves pressure in an upper system during periods of high demand in a system below. In pressure relief service, the valve modulates to exhaust line pressure and keep it below a maximum set point. On a pump bypass system, the valve allows flow back to the pump suction when the pump discharge pressure exceeds the set point.
