With heating and electricity generation accounting for nearly 25% of all greenhouse gas emissions, radiant helps manage energy usage and offers superior indoor environmental quality (IEQ) that forced-air systems just can’t provide.

Uponor has been providing reliable radiant floor heating systems longer than any other company in North America. Our trained staff of expert radiant designers, field technicians and nationwide distribution network give you the service and support you can depend on for a partnership you can grow with for decades.

Accurately and efficiently specify and design your project with manufacturer-provided Autodesk (Revit and CADmep) content from Uponor.

Uponor Construction Services is a professional team of estimators, engineers, designers, modelers, BIM content managers and polymer piping experts that provide estimation and design expertise for domestic water, fire sprinkler, hydronic distribution, radiant heating and cooling, snow and ice melting, turf conditioning and permafrost prevention systems.

Hot water recirculating pumpinstallation diagram

This is one of the more common installation practices for new construction. The staples go around the outside of the pipe (not through it) and then adhere to the surface. Once the pipe is securely fastened, a layer of lightweight gypsum concrete is poured over top of the piping creating a smooth, solid surface for the floor.

Industry codes, standards and listings exist to protect the lives, health and safety of construction professionals, structure occupants and the public. Feel confident knowing Uponor is the most trusted and third-party listed PEX for residential and commercial plumbing, heating, cooling and fire safety applications.

How does ahot water recirculating pumpwork

Use the tie-down method for installations on or below grade. Wire ties affix the PEX pipe to the wire mesh or rebar (typically every three feet) to ensure the pipe stays in place as the concrete is poured over the pipe and wire mesh or rebar grid system. Under-slab insulation is typically necessary to ensure heat is not lost to the ground.

Browse the Uponor product catalog and view individual submittals, or add multiple products to a single submittal package (AKA cut sheet).

PEX rails help to ensure an even spacing for the layout pattern. Typically used in structural and non-structural concrete slab applications, PEX rails can be fastened to almost any surface, including wood, foam board insulation and concrete.

Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat, so using aluminum heat-transfer plates is an effective way to install a high-performing radiant floor heating system when concrete overpour on the surface of the floor is not an option. The plates fasten to the underside of the subfloor between the joists and feature a channel down the middle where the piping locks into place.

Taco Genie Hot Water Recirculation Systems Stainless Steel Pumps. Have hot water at your fingertips whenever you turn the faucet. Stop wasting water as you wait for cold to turn to hot. Stop burning energy as you wait for warm to turn warmer. The TacoGenie™ puts an end to the waste, and the wait, forever. How TacoGenie works… The TacoGenie is a small, silent pump attached to your hot and cold water lines in the cabinet under your most remote kitchen or bath fixture. When TacoGenie is activated, the cool water you normally let run down the drain is circulated back to the water heater through the cold water line. Instantly the pump circulates hot water from the water heater, and returns the cooled water back through the cold water line. When the hot water arrives at the faucet, the TacoGenie heat sensor and control board shut off the pump to prevent pumping excess hot water into the cold water line.

Start your plumbing, radiant, hydronic or fire sprinkler project off right with an estimation or design from Uponor Construction Services.
