Scope Covers the entire value chain of R&D right from oriented basic and applied research, pre competitive technology development, technology based classification & assessment of technology options, pilot-demonstration of technology leads from laboratories and academic institutions to evolve a basket of technology options and facilitating developed technologies for last mile connectivity etc. It also envisages nurturing enabling activities such as human and institutional capacity building including fellowships, training of human resources, promoting centres of excellence, thematic hubs and technology platforms.
Next phase of exceptionally well performing ongoing projects supported earlier , which is essential for further progression to next stage of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the project are considered beyond the call domain. Such proposers need to apply for next phase at least 6 months before the project completion date in the applicable format clearly linking outcomes of previous phase and how it is proposed to be taken forward with appropriate participation role of stakeholders considering the envisaged Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
