If you do not install and maintain your device, you risk serious injury or death. You could also be liable for injury or product liability claims, litigation, penalties or damages caused to nearby premises.

You must send us your completed inspection and maintenance form within 14 days of testing. If you don't submit the form within 14 days, we may need to arrange a licensed contractor to do another test, at your cost.

We'll tell you what kind of backflow prevention device you need. Then it's up to you to arrange installation by a licensed plumber who is accredited in backflow prevention.

Backflow prevention devices are required on medium and high-risk properties like commercial and industrial properties or residential properties with a bidet, toilet douche or below ground rain water tank.

After installation, your plumber needs to test your backflow prevention device. You are also legally responsible for arranging an annual test of your device by a licensed plumber.
