With a 7mm cable hidden in the screed, it provides a natural, even warmth and is maintenance-free once installed. The kit includes a touch-screen backlight wall controller and offers temperature control, ensuring a comfortable and mould-free environment.

Radiant Floor Heating In-Screed Cable Kit is perfect for putting floor heating under tiles, where the floor will be screeded. The cable is installed and then covered with screed. 7mm cables are fully hidden away in the screed meaning that the tiler has a flat freshly screeded surface to work on. This kit is a professional kit where the cable comes loose on a drum and wire mesh is supplied along with cable ties. This is an especially popular solution for experienced fitters or when the area is in an awkward shape.

Ames Fire & Waterworks’ grooved-end automatic control valve (910GF ACV) reduces water pressure in fire-protection systems, is UL listed and available in 2” to 8” sizes. It typically is installed in commercial or industrial fire sprinkler systems to automatically reduce a higher inlet pressure to an adjustable lower outlet pressure. The diaphragm-actuated, pilot-operated valve is sensitive to downstream flow and pressure fluctuations. The new ACV complements the Ames package of products designed for fire protection systems, which includes the Colt and Maxim series backflow preventers, gear-operated slow-close ball valves, in-building risers and UL/FM strainers.

With all underfloor heating systems, the floor is gently heated to a comfortable temperature (usually between 21 – 28 degrees C depending on the room) and the heat generated slowly radiates into the room, in turn heating the air from the ground up. This gives a very even heat distribution throughout the room and offers a level of comfort which is far superior to other forms of heating.

When calculating the size of the kit you require for your project, you need to calculate ONLY THE FREE FLOOR SPACE in the room you are heating. For example in a bathroom, you would generally exclude the toilet, bath, shower and vanity unit.
