Althon offer a range of specialist water management and flood prevention products such as HDPE flap valves, ductile iron flap valves, penstocks, Wastop inline non-return valves, stop logs, Tideflex duckbill and Checkmate valves. We offer flanged, wall mounted and tidal flap valves as well as wall mounted and inline penstocks.

WaStops do not rely on gravity to close the membrane and do not need to be fitted against a vertical headwall. This means that it can be installed in any plane or inline between two pipes. The WaStop is available in a number of standard sizes suitable for up to 8MwC. Special sizes and pressures are available on request.

1 1/4" Bronze Anti-Siphon Pressure Vacuum Breaker Backflow Preventer, Quarter Turn Shutoff, Lever HandlesThis 1 1/4 IN Watts series 800M4QT anti-siphon pressure vacuum breaker backflow preventer helps prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage. It consists of bronze body construction, silicone rubber check valve disc, plastic check valve seat, stainless steel springs, a bonnet with silicone rubber O-ring seal, a lightweight plastic disc float, lever handle shutoffs, and test cocks for winterization draining. It is ideal in health hazard continuous pressure applications such as irrigation systems and industrial process water systems where the water enters the equipment at or below its flood rim. Maximum pressure is 150 psi (10.3 bar). Minimum pressure is 15 psi (55kPa).

Wastop valves are inline backflow and flood prevention valves. WaStop inline non return valves (NRV) are made up of either a stainless steel grade 304 or 316 incorporating a cone-shaped chloroprene membrane. The membrane allows flow to pass in the desired direction but when backflow occurs the membrane fills out and seals the pipe.

We can also provide stainless steel Wastops flanged at one or both ends for factory fitting to precast headwalls, onto tidal or other outfall walls or inline with existing pipework.
