The installation of a Reduced Pressure Zone Valve is to ensure that the water in your plumbing system does not flow back into the municipal supply. For backup water or treated water to be connected directly into your municipal feed an RPZ is required. The RPZ valve should be installed onto the municipal supply before any feeds are teed off. To be installed by a professional and to note an inline strainer and two isolation valves must be installed with the valve.
