The Axelson™ PA pneumatic surface safety shutdown gate valve automatically performs fail-safe during a predetermined emergency condition, a control pressure loss, or a mechanical seal failure within the device. This fail-safe function may involve closing or opening the valve depending on customer requirements.

Corrosion resistant, also excellent for high purity and water applications. The standard connections are female NPT threaded ports. Socket, flanged and spigot connections are also available. Springs (not wetted) are steel. Adjusting bolts and external fasteners are stainless steel. Optional Xylan coated springs and fasteners available; consult factory. Some Kynar PVDF components are used in the Natural Polypropylene and PTFE models for strength. Adjusting bolt and lock nut on 3″ pressure regulator is HDPE.

This versatility of function enables the PA valve to be used as a safety shutdown valve, a diverter valve, or a blowdown valve. The Axelson PA automatic valve meets the requirements of ANSI B16.34 and API 6D Specifications.
