Proper maintenance of neutralization tanks is essential for proper neutralization of wastes in the systems. Over time, limestone will loose there ability to effectively neutralize effluents. Tanks must be cleaned out periodically of all sludge, debris and other material and must be checked for proper amount of limestone. A regular maintenance schedule of one to three months should be observed, but more or less frequent inspection may be necessary in any particular case.
This use of the latest technology and electronic control allow it to exceed the latest EuP/ErP standards. Installation options are flexible too, with the ability to mount the control box on top or to the left or right. It’s possible to purchase the pump head separately to reduce installation time where the existing base is still in good condition.
A great way to keep track of inspections is to use a log attached near the tank that records and schedules inspections. This ensures that the tank is being inspected and is also a visual reminder in case there is a change in personnel responsible for the tank. It is also a great way to show state and federal regulators (like EPA or OSHA) that the tank is being properly maintained for your effluent. If you are going to clean out the tank, check your local regulations for proper limestone and sludge disposal. There are also commercial contractors who will come clean the tank for you.

The circulating pump is a key part of your domestic heating system. But because it’s a mechanical component, it’s also subject to wear and tear. Although a pump should last for many years, they all wear out eventually. When it comes to replacing or specifying a new pump, it’s worth going for a high-quality brand such as a Grundfos domestic circulator.
Alternatively, the Grundfos UPS3 15-50/65 high efficiency canned-rotor circulator, designed for circulating liquids in domestic heating systems. Is suitable as stand-alone or integrated circulator pump in existing systems as replacement or in new heating systems.domestic circulating pump offers continuously variable speed control and also uses permanent magnet motor technology.
Most models of Grundfos domestic pump come with a five-year warranty to give you peace of mind. They’ll also help the home where they’re installed stay energy-efficient. The Grundfos UPS2 15-50/65 pump, for example, has an A+ rating under the energy labelling scheme. Thanks to permanent magnet motor technology and pressure-controlled operation, in addition to the standard three speed settings, it can reduce energy consumption to as little as five watts.
