Backflow Prevention Valve SS DUC40 1050The Double Check Valve (DCV) device consists of two independently acting, spring loaded check valves. Two resilient seated shut-off valves and four test cocks complete the assembly. Each check is designed to maintain a minimum of 1 psi across the valve during normal operation. If at any time the pressure downstream of the device increases above the supply pressure, both check valves will close to prevent any backflow from occurring. The various styles and sizes of Double Check Valves are also available.

It has an oversized orifice and is ideally used on beverage dispensing, ice cube machines, paint spraying equipment, drinking fountains, humidifiers, and other small process applications. It consists of a lead free brass body, adjusting slotting screw, NPT threaded female connections, three-way low water pressure gauge port, Buna-N stainless steel disc, aluminum spring cage, and a reinforced Buna-N diaphragm. The reduced water pressure range is 10 to 125 psi (0.7 to 8.6 bar). It is factory set at 25 psi (1.7 bar).
