You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund.  Remember restocking fees apply on most items.  You are responsible for packing your order to prevent damage, always return unit in packaging in which it was originally shipped.  We do not accept damaged packages.  Our large items often come in custom boxes, this is for the protection of the item.  Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Freight shipments: All damage is required to be marked on Bill of Lading. Be responsible, inspect the delivery and make sure nothing is missing, pieces damaged, parts dented or scratched. If damage is not noted when signing and receiving, Eastern Irrigation is unable to make a claim with the shipper on your behalf.

We provide a backflow prevention device for 20 and 25mm water meters in the form of integrated non-testable dual check valves. While these integrated check valves provide adequate low-risk backflow protection, they may not necessarily meet the minimum backflow requirements for every type of property. For example, this backflow protection is insufficient for industrial and commercial operations or residential properties that make use of medium or high-risk appliances/activities.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Who can assess, install and test for backflow prevention?Only licensed plumbers with backflow-prevention accreditation (issued by a registered training organisation) can assess your properties backflow requirements and install, commission or test backflow devices.Our organisation takes water quality management very seriously. We partner with the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) and Access Canberra to ensure we are up to date on a range of topics, including backflow prevention and cross contamination.

Package/Freight items:Customer is responsible for noting any damage on product or package when receiving packages, pallets, crates, freight items and small packages in a timely manner of 1 business day. Pictures are required for warranty issues and return. Eastern Irrigation is not responsible for product damaged upon customer opening or removing items from packaging. Eastern Irrigation has the right to refuse returns for damaged items received.

Property owners are responsible for ensuring the correct backflow prevention device has been installed on their water service. As such, each property’s backflow prevention requirements need to be assessed by a licensed plumber or hydraulic consultant.

To return your product after you receive an RMA, please attach the label to the shipping box and drop off with the carrier.

Submit a Return Request:To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Items that have been installed are not eligible for return.  It must also be in the original packaging with instructions and all applicable items/accessories.  We also have a restocking fee on items that ranges from 10-40%.  The restocking fee includes all shipping charges that are non-refundable.  Any return that receives a return label must have the item shipped within 10 days of receiving the label.  We will not accept returns that go beyond the 10 day window.

*Note - Some products require freight shipping. For these shipments a phone number is required so the carrier can arrange appointment with the customer. Customer is required to be present for unloading delivery and is responsible for noting any damage on bill of lading. Freight shipments are curbside- this is a standard freight practice with all carriers.  Customers will be required to unload their package or request a lift gate for $99.  The freight carriers will not bring your package to the front door like traditional UPS or FedEx delivery.  Please mark all damage immediately or any suspected damage on the Bill of Lading.  We cannot accept any returns or make a claim without a note on the Bill of Lading.  The customer must be present for all freight deliveries.

2 IN Bronze Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly, Quarter Turn Shutoff, Small Diameter, Backflow Flood Sensor

This 2 inch reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly prevents the reverse flow of high hazard (toxic) fluids found in the water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. It is used in water services to industrial plants, hospitals, morgues, mortuaries, and chemical plants and it is also used in irrigation systems, boiler feed, water lines and other installations requiring maximum protection. This assembly consists of a bronze body, threaded quarter turn ball valves, top mounted test cocks, spring loaded check valves, and a pressure differential relief valve. This backflow assembly contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated through an add-on sensor connection kit, the flood sensor can send an alert to notify personnel about potential flooding. Add-on sensor connection kits are available for BMS and cellular communications.

Testing backflow-prevention devicesAll testable backflow devices must be registered with Access Canberra at the time of installation. This is so they can be tracked and managed.

Testable backflow-prevention devices are those that include features to allow testing in-situ, i.e. without the need to remove the device. Backflow-prevention devices must be installed by an appropriately qualified licensed plumber and tested every 12 months (in line with AS/NZS 3500 and AS/NZS 2845.3:2020). What is backflow? The unintended reversal of water flow from a potentially contaminated source into a drinking water supply, such as the water supply network, is termed backflow. Safety impacts can range from a minor nuisance to endangered health or even death. What is backflow-containment protection?A backflow-prevention device installed downstream of the water meter, but before any branches or connections, is a backflow-containment device. It is designed to stop water from flowing back into the water supply network.How can backflow occur? Backflow may occur when the pressure in a main is lower than the pressure within a customer’s property. While our systems are designed to avoid pressure differentials, there is still a risk they may occur. This unintended variance is caused by any events that move water from the consumer pipework into the water main, such as:

Meters larger than 25mm do not include backflow prevention devices. For these meters/services an appropriately licensed plumber is required to assess and apply the correct backflow preventative measures appropriate to the property’s hazard ratings. Some backflow-prevention devices are testable and must be checked regularly by a licenced person endorsed for backflow testing.

Please take pictures of damaged packaging, items, and email info@easternirrigation.com within 48 hours of receiving your package. You can also refuse delivery and we will get the package back and send you a new one. Please let us know if you refuse delivery.

When it comes to Canberra's water network, all drinking and recycled water connections must have backflow containment protection. This reduces the backflow hazard your property might pose to our supply.

We recommend documenting the condition that you shipped the item in and email it to info@easternirrigation.com after you have submitted your Return Request.Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
